do you have the rings?

We got our rings from an antique jewellers in Hatton Garden as we liked the idea of the rings being old and strong. We were staying the night at a hotel in Destin, Florida and I grabbed a quick shot of them on the balcony overlooking the ocean just before I had to go downstairs to leave my wife-to-be with her best friend to get ready (and she looked beautiful when I finally saw her, I can report!).

Faffed around with this far too much in Photoshop, to surprisingly little end result. There’s not enough contrast in the image to make a satisfying black and white, and it was pretty overcast at the time so the light is a little flat, and the colour balance was a little too warm, so I corrected as much of all that as I could without it looking too un-natural. I suppose I could have gone for a ‘high key’ effect and given it a kind of ethereal feel. The sort of thing Dave does over at chromasia.com a lot – I’m not very experienced with that sort of look though. Might be something to think about trying, it does look good often.
