I went to the new Apple Store in Covent Garden last weekend to get my iPhone 4 fixed (the back screen had smashed and so I was very lucky to be given a replacement iPhone completely free of charge). I had heard it was a lovely building so I took my camera and got a bunch of lovely shots, which you can see some of on my blog.

This one is at the top of the spiral staircase looking down. It’s been processed with a B&W layer set to Soft Light for punchy contrast, then a Curves layer with changes to red, green and blue channels to give it the hint of magenta-ish toning. That’s also set to Soft Light, which has brought the highlights up too far, so I brought it down to 50% opacity. There’s also a duplicate background on the second layer, with a High Pass filter (setting: 2) set to Overlay, and some jiggery pokery with the Blend If: setting that’s giving me some punchiness in the midtones.
