Another shot from the Feral shoot last weekend. This is Jake Maskall, one of the hikers that stumbles across Axelle Carolyn’s character. In the foreground is actor Sean Turner.
It was so bitterly cold everyone was wrapped up extremely warm, but nobody ever really properly complained. I guess when you’re all doing something you want to do for love rather than money it changes your outlook and extends your tolerance for discomfort!
I processed this by applying a B&W filter that emulates Kodak Ti-X 400 film pushed one stop, but because I consider that to be laziness I then went back and created a Channel Mixer adjustment layer, a film grain layer and a curves layer (for contrast) and tweaked them till I emulated the Kodak look. Then I deactivated the Kodak filter but left it in the PSD file for future reference. Oh, and there’s a hint of vignette as well. Do I have any shots that don’t have any vignette in them?
