I have absolutely no idea what this is.
On the way home from the same wander round London that yesterday’s shot came from, I was on the tube thinking about how I’d like to take photos of the scenes in tube carriages – really nice wide symmetrical photos from the centre of the aisle looking along a carriage, low angle. I’d never have the confidence to do it – mind you on quieter trains I could get away with it as shooting wide looks the same as shooting tight – people tend not to feel threatened if the lens isn’t pointed at them.
Still, there’s the issue that I’m essentially photographing people without their permission. Thoughts on that?
So anyway I was taking some photos ‘blind’ with the camera over my shoulder and hand resting casually over the shutter release. I just moved around a little at the doors and took completely random shots in case something cool happened. Sadly nothing did, but the last two shots on the card from the day were of this scene. It was taken 20 minutes after the last tube shot (which was at the station I got off at) so I’m guessing it’s something we have in our flat, maybe washing hanging outside?
Absolutely no idea. I like it though.
