Happy New Year!
I took this a few days ago sitting in a local pub in Putney called The Arab Boy, which announces it’s “possibly the oldest pub in Putney”. Whether it is or not I’m not qualified to tell you I’m afraid. Anyway the fairly unsubtle thinking is that the glass is half full, plus there’s a copy of The Guardian’s 2009 Guide in the background, it’s New Year, positive thinking… geddit? 😉
I’d usually tell you how I processed this in simple terms, so this would be a good time for me to mention the new section of the site, linked above in red at the moment. I’ve started a news blog using WordPress! I’ve posted a couple of entries already about various little fun photography applications on the iPhone and Mac, but I also want to share some technique too and so I’ll put a post up soon that shows the original of today’s image, the layers of the image and what they add to the photo.
Photography has become much more than a hobby now and is threatening to become an even bigger part of my life in the future, so keeping it as refreshed as possible can only be a good thing. The idea with the news blog is that I keep my hand in with a new project related to photography, keep me thinking about it in new ways, and sharing it with anyone that wants to read along and join in. It’s also a nice challenge to get WordPress up and running on the site exactly the way I want it and I do love a techy challenge… 😉
Having a few issues with the RSS for the new blog, though, but let me know what you think!
