Another from Shapwick House, also taken on the morning we were due to leave. As you can see, the snow on the MG had been used as ammo in a snowball fight the night before!

I processed this one by creating a Black & White adjustment layer and setting it to Multiply, mainly to put some detail into the snow and the car. I lowered the Blue and Cyan settings to get the detail in the snow. The Multiply mode muted the red and yellow colours, though, so I added a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer and increased the saturation in the red and yellow channels to bring them back up to something I liked – not too much or it went un-naturally nuclear! Finally I added a Curve adjustment layer to ever so slightly tweak up the contrast of the snow to give it a tiny bit more punch. I tried a vignette but for once decided the picture worked without one.
